    • HISTORY OF SIGN:
    Sox & Martin - The racing team of Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin formed in 1963 to race a '63 Chevy Z-11. In 1964 they raced a '64 A/FX Comet, then switched permanently to Plymouth in 1965. They raced altered-wheelbase funny cars for two seasons, then returned to super stock and participated in the establishment of NHRA's Pro Stock Category in 1970. In the first two seasons of Pro Stock, the pair won nine out of thirteen national events.
