HISTORY OF SIGN: Phillips 66 gasoline came from the Phillips Oil Company of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Frank Phillips was a prominent collector of western art, and established the Woodaroc Museum near Bartlesville. The round white sign was introduced in 1928, and the orange shield replaced it in 1930
