HISTORY OF SIGN:
Nash was an early make that survived the depression. Charlie Nash, former president of Buick and former vice president of General Motors, began producing his own brand of cars in 1917. The company was successful, especially in the the early postwar years, but steadily lost ground in the late forties and early fifties. In May of 1954, Nash merged with Hudson to form American Motors Corporation. The last cars bearing the Nash and Hudson names were made in 1957 and AMC concentrated on making Ramblers.
